This architectural Archival Watercolor Drawing of Belle Grove. The measured drawing, based on the WPA files, old photographs and history shows the great mansion as it would have looked in the late 1850s. The famed plantation house sat in ruins in the 1830s and 40s and filally burned in 1852. Nothing remains of the great house.  The original painting measures 59" width by 32" height and is framed with eglomise glass and a gilt frame.
